Detailed Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrive in Lhasa (3,650)

Lhasa Tour with Tsedang and Samye Monastery begins after arrival in Lhasa where you meet our representative who drives you at the hotel in Lhasa. Acclimatize at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing Lhasa

Today we visit the popular place of Lhasa like Jokhang Temple, Potala Palace and Barkhor Street. The Jokhang Temple is located in Central Lhasa and is the ultimate pilgrimage destination for Tibetan Pilgrims. It is a four-storey timber complex with a golden top. It adopted the architectural style of the Tang Dynasty, as well as those of Tibet and Nepal. The Jokhang Temple is surrounded by the Barkhor Street where many pilgrims hold the prayer wheels to walk clockwise there from dawn to dark. On the other hand the Potala Palace is located on the Red Hill by the side of the Lhasa River. It is a treasure house where you can see precious arts and learn Tibetan culture and history. Climbing the steps up to the top, you can see the great views of Lhasa city as well as beautiful plateau landscape far away. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03: Lhasa Excursion

Relishing the Lhasa Tour with Tsedang and Samye Monastery, today we continue our tour at Lhasa visiting the Drepung Monastery which lies 8 km west of Lhasa and is largest Monastery in the Tibet that occupies over 10,000 of Monks. The ground of Monastery is organized on the caves and temples for Jamyang Qoigyi, together with two magnificent white pagodas. Then we drive for Sera Monastery which is situated 5 km north to Lhasa. The monastery is magnificent and covers an area of 114,946 square meters (28 acres). Its main buildings are the Coqen Hall, Zhacang (college) and Kamcun (dormitory). Overnight at Hotel.

Day 04: Lhasa to Tsedang via Samye Monastery (3,520m)

Today we drive for Tsedang passing through the Samye Monastery. The Samye Monastery was built in 762 and is regarded as the first official Buddhist Monastery in Tibet. It symbolizes the center of the universe for tourists to explore the ancient heart of Tibetan Buddhist world. Tsedang is located at the middle and lower reaches of Yarlung Zangbo river with a comparatively mild climate and vast fertile land. Tsedang is the combination of natural and cultural scenery. We cover the distance of about 120 km till reaching Tsedang from Lhasa. Overnight at Hotel in Tsedang.

Day 05: Sightseeing Tour in Tsedang

Today we continue our sightseeing program of Tsedang. It is the combination of natural and cultural scenery. Famous tourist destination in this area includes the first palace in Tibet Yungbulakhang, one of the three holy lakes Yamdrok, burial site of Tibetan Kings, Trandruk Monastery and Samding Monastery. It also offers the spectacular landscapes on birthplace of Tibetan people.

Day 06: Departure

Your Lhasa Tour with Tsedang and Samye Monastery terminates today so early in the morning we drive for Gonggar airport and catch the flight and bid farewell to the mystic land Tibet.
