The Tibet Everest Advance Base Camp Trek allows you to feel and experience the beautiful landscape of Tibet and the breathtaking view of the world’s tallest peak Mt. Everest along with the popular world heritage sites like Potala Palace, Norbulingka Palace and Jokhang Temple. The Barkhor Street, Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery and Tibet museum are also the eye catching sites of the Lhasa. The trip begins at Lhasa then follows the popular old cities like Gyantse, Shigatse, Shegar, Rongbuk and Everest Base Camp and follows back the same route and terminates at Lhasa. We follow the same route used by the Everest summiteers and end at the Everest Advanced Base camp at 6,340m. This trek takes you close to the summit of Everest as any non-climbers can go. This highest trek in the world is an incredible journey to Camp 3 and the base of the North Col via the East Rongbuk Glacier in Tibet.

Detailed Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrive in Lhasa (3,650)
Your Tibet Everest Advance Base Camp Trek begins after arrival in Lhasa where you meet our representative who drives you at the hotel in Lhasa. Acclimatize at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Lhasa
Today we observe the famous place of Lhasa like Potala Palace, Norbulinka Palace and Tibet Museum. The Potala Palace situated in the Red Hill by the side of the Lhasa River is a treasure house where you can see precious arts and learn Tibetan arts, crafts and tasty cuisines. Norbulingka Palace located on the west of Lhasa is a short distance to the southwest of Potala Palace. It is regarded as the summer palace of Dalai Lama and it’s well preserved murals, superb mandalas and frescoes are fascinating sights not to be missed. It is the largest garden, with the best scenery and the most historical sites in Tibet. Tibet Museum is located in the southeast corner of Norbulingka and covers an area of 23,508 square meters. The museum building is a pioneering institution in the history of the region. The complex is a wonderful combination of Chinese and Tibetan architectural styles. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 03: Excursion in Lhasa
Enjoying Tibet Everest Advance Base Camp Trek, after breakfast we continue our tour at Lhasa visiting Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street and Sera and Drepung Monasteries. The Jokhang temple is located in Central Lhasa and is the ultimate pilgrimage destination for Tibetan Pilgrims. It is four-storey timber complex with a golden top. The Jokhang Temple is surrounded by the Barkhor Street which comprises a series of circular streets that encompass numerous merchants and vendors offering a wide variety of local Tibetan arts, crafts and tasty cuisines. The Sera Monastery is situated 5 km north to Lhasa. The magnificent monastery covers an area of 114,946 square meters (28 acres). Its main buildings are the Coqen Hall, Zhacang (college) and Kamcun (dormitory). The Drepung Monastery lies 8 kilometers west of Lhasa and is largest Monastery in the Tibet that occupies over 10,000 of Monks. The ground of Monastery is organized on the caves and temples for Jamyang Qoigyi, together with two magnificent white pagodas. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Lhasa to Gyantse (3950m)
Today we drive for Gyantse (3,950m) which is 325 km from Lhasa and might take about 5 to 6 hours. We take the route via Karo La Pass and Yamdrok Lake. The scenery between Yamdrok Lake and the glacier is truly spectacular. As you go around the lakeshore to stop in Nangartse, you see snow peaked mountains contrasted with blue sky and turquoise waters, yaks and Tibetans. Overnight at Hotel in Gyantse.
Day 05: Gyantse to Shigatse (3900m)
On the fifth day of Tibet Everest Advance Base Camp Trek, after breakfast we head for Shigatse (3,900m) which is 95 km from Gynatse and might take about 2 to 3 hours. We encounter the beautiful Shalu Monastery on the way to Shigatse. The monastery is very popular for its murals and paintings that you can find inside the chapels and assembly hall and this is the only monastery that consist both Tibetan and Han arts inside the monastery. Overnight at the hotel in Shigatse.
Day 06: Shigatse to Tingri(Shegar) (4050m)
We continue our drive to Tingri (4,050m) from Shigatse. Tingri is a small town approximately 60 km north-west of Mount Everest and provides the spectacular views of Mount Everest, Mount Lhotse, Mount Makalu and Cho Oyu which comprise four of the six highest mountains of the world. In the way we pass through the wonderful Sakya Monastery which is fames as the “Second Dunhuang” due to its colossal collection of numerous Tibetan Buddhist scriptures, murals and thangkas. Monastery also treasures some historical relics, such as seals, Buddhist figures, porcelain wares and embroidery from the Song and Yuan Dynasties. Overnight at hotel in Tingri.
Day 07: Shegar to Rongbuk (5000m)
We leave Shegar in the morning and cross the Pang La pass. The view from the top is truly spectacular as nearly the entire Himalayas are laid out before you. This stands as the first real glimpse of Everest.
Day 08: Rongbuk to Everest Base Camp (5,200m)
This morning we make the short 8km drive to Everest Base Camp (5200m) where we are 15km from this magnificent mountain(Mt Everest; 8848m high; known as Chomolangma to the Tibetans, and translated to Qomolangma by the Chinese. In Nepal, it is Sagarmatha.) We enjoy the breathtaking view of the world tallest mountain Everest and its surroundings. Overnight at Camp.
Day 09: Everest Base Camp
Keeping safety in mind we spent the whole day at the Everest Base Camp for acclimatization. You can utilize leisure time by exploring the surroundings of the Base Camp.
Day 10: Trek from Everest Camp to Camp 1 (5460m)
Relishing the Tibet Everest Advance Base Camp Trek, today we trek to Camp 1 exploring the Rongbuk Glacier and surrounding areas. The spectacular views around the massive glacier are something that mustn’t be missed. We follow the trail that rises to the east side of this ice cap and heads toward the peak of Mt. Everest. Overnight in the Camp.
Day 11: Trek to Internal Camp (5760m)
We take the trail of gravel hills to the west of the glacier enjoying the dramatic landscape. Another scenic day awaits us as we spend the night at the interim camp. The beautiful mountains surround us in all directions with an amazing experience.
Day 12: Rest Day in Internal Camp
Today is another day to rest and properly acclimatize as we are at extremely high altitudes, and must take all necessary safety precautions! Small excursions can be taken today and wonderful pictures abound.
Day 13: Trek to Camp 2 (5970m)
Today we ascend even farther into the intricate maze of ice as we meet up with the Changste glacier with an incredible experience of hike on the world’s highest mountain! Our Camp is surrounded on all sides by varying glaciers and hanging ice. The Serac Highway protrudes a gravel point into the center of these amazing ice formations.
Day 14: Trek to Camp 3 (6340m) and return to Camp 2
It is completely up to you today whether you want to spend the night at Base camp 3 or simply hike there during the day and return to Base Camp 2. The walk will be much more enjoyable tomorrow if we stay at the second base camp. However, if you wish we can spend the night at an even higher altitude and impressive location. Camp 3 lies in the center of flattened gravel mounds next to the glacier. Today we can observe many of the challenging pinnacles, ridges, and even the rock summit of Everest. Camp 3 is only 2400 meters from the top. Overnight at Camp.
Day 15: Return to Base Camp
On the fifteenth day of Tibet Everest Advance Base Camp Trek, we descend back to the first Base Camp for comparatively longer period of time. Wonderful sights are encountered as we leave this amazing peak.
Day 16: Rongbuk to Shigatse (3900m)
Today we drive to Shigatse following the same route while getting to the Rongbuk. Overnight at Lhasa.
Day 17: Shigatse to Lhasa
After breakfast we drive for about 6-7 hours back to the Capital of Tibet Autonomous Region Lhasa which is 351 km from Shigatse. Overnight at hotel.
Day 18: Lhasa to Kathmandu or onward Journey
Your Tibet Everest Advance Base Camp Trek terminates today so you drive for Gonggar airport and catch your flight for onward destination.
